Q: How many trainees attend each class?
A: Class size is generally 10 people.
Q: How often are the training classes held?
A: All classes are held on an as needed basis.
Q: How does Local 147 select trainees?
A: Selection for training is done on a first come first served basis, We process the course applications in the
order that we receive them.
Q: Who should be attending classes?
A: New members or anyone who wants to improve their skill level in the given area.
Q: Do I receive pay?
A: Local 147 Training Fund generally provides a $50 per day stipend for:
- OSHA: 30 Hour Construction
- OSHA: Confined Space Permit Required
- Basic Industrial Electric
- 80 Hour Practical Industrial Electric
- 80 Hour Tunnel and Shaft Training (Arizona)
- Hoisting and Rigging
- Shotcrete Nozzleman Qualification
Q: Who covers the cost of training?
A: Local 147 Training Fund pays for course fees, travel, room and board (as applicable).
