Take a Virtual Tour of the East Side Access Tunnel - (7/17/2008)
In the Manhattan bedrock, 190 feet below street level, a 640-ton tunnel-boring machine has traveled more than 7,700 feet from 63rd Street and Second Avenue to 45th Street and Park Avenue. The tunnel is part of East Side Access, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s $7.2 billion project to link the Long Island Rail Road to Grand Central Terminal. Click Here to take the tour.
